I am a ten year old boy. I love playing hockey and Squash. I can't decide which one I like the best. I also like playing soccer with my friends at school. My favourite subject is Literacy. I also really enjoy math, especially tricky questions.  I like biking with my friends and family.  My favourite food is Macaroni cheese.

Foxy the super secret spy book:2

Welcome to book two of Foxy the spy.

Foxy the Spy is a very new spy he is the youngest Spy in the world what will he get up to in book 2 ?

Carl the head Spy was extremely happy and surprised about how fast he got the information form in. Foxys next case was with Mr.Bushy. You may of Met Mr.Bushy in the first book.

Mr.Bushy was excited to get paired up with Foxy. Carl announced what their case was he said that they had to jump on a ferry and go to this invisible Island.

The next day Foxy went up to the Ferry and met Mr.Bushy there on his phone to Carl they were talking about the Island.

Then Mr bushy looked up and said hello and they went onto the ferry and waited 10 hours to get to the invisible IslandIt looked really cool then suddenly it flashed away.

Mr bushy got off the Ferry and left for the invisible Island. Foxy could hear a beeping noise from Mr Bushys pocket. He looked up at Mr bushy to ask what the beeping noise was but Mr. Bushy must have read his mind and he said that it was saying that they were on the invisible Island.

50 Minutes later the Island was back to normal they saw a sign 

Saying that it was going back to invisible in one hour. Then they saw this man playing with some cables. Foxy shouted out to him but he didn't look up to see who it was.

So Mr.Bushy and Foxy marched up to the man wearing black and at the same time they were shouting at him what he was doing. He started to make a run for it Mr bushy chased him but Foxy went to have a look at the cables like Mr bushy told him to.

Foxy pulled out his clippers and started to cut them so then the forest Island would no longer be invisible and tourists would start coming back again.

Snap the cables had been cut and oxy and Mr bushy had saved the Island from disappearing forever. The next day they went back to Carl's office.

Carl got such a surprise when they walked through the door. He slid off his chair and started getting angry at them because he thought they hadn't done it but when they shove the guy who was trying to put cables in the Island so it would disappear he was amazed.

Time capsule

For reading this week we learnt about time capsules. Here is my facts about the time capsule.

A Time capsule was buried 61 years ago near pallermant.It was buried on July the seventh 1959  It was found in 2017.

After a packet of coins was extracted the wad of what turned out to be building plans and old newspapers proved difficult to get out of the canister.

It was found behind the belowon state building.

The canister looked like an old pipe from underground. A time capsule could be a box as well.

Letter to the future

This week for writing we had to do a letter to our future self. Here is my letter of what I did in lockdown.

Dear Future Benjamin,

I am writing to you just after lock down. We were in lock down for 8 weeks. The reason why we were in lockdown was because of the coronavirus.

The people in my bubble were  Samuel(my brother) Luke (My other Brother) and Mum and Dad. Some games that my family played were monopoly, my favourite game at the time Catan, Agitation and many other games.

My Mum and I did some baking. My favourite thing I baked was  probably Lemon slice. The other thing that I really liked is raisin loaf. I did a lot of biking if I had to estimate how many laps I did of the Garden it would probably be 3599 laps.

I think it was around the third week of lockdown we had to go back to school but online. It was very different to normal school. One thing I missed the most was seeing all my friends. I got to see a couple of my friends online but it didn’t feel the same.

Why did I write about mary?

I wrote  about Mary because it is the month of Mary. I have written some of the special parts of Mary's live. I hope you enjoy.

Annunciation

Mary got  told by an Angel called Gabriel that she was getting a baby and it was going to be the son of God. She was shocked and kept saying that she couldn’t get a baby.

Mary then went to tell Elizabeth about the Angel and to tell her that she was pregnant. Then Elizabeth said that she was pregnant as well and Mary told her all about what the Angel said. Elizabeth was amazed.

Fun facts about Mary

Mary, the mother of Jesus is commonly referred to as Mary the  Mother of God, Saint Mary, Virgin Mary and Blessed Virgin Mary.  Mary loved God and wanted to serve Him with all her heart. But she was just a poor girl in an insignificant town, from a humble family, with little expectations that her life going to be any different than most. 

Foxy the super secret spy

This time I used the Literacy shed and got the idea of a fox being a spy here is my story. I hope you enjoy.

Foxy is a fox ever since he was little he wanted to be a spy when his parents went to get him food when he was little he would spy on something it could be an owl in the tree it could be a Lion giving its children meat it could be anything one day he was spying on the head spy for Foxes he decided he would pounse out and have a talk to him.

So that's what Foxy did. He introduced himself and said he wanted to be a spy but the head spy wouldn’t listen to him. He kept saying you are a young little Foxy. Foxy thought it would be a good idea to pretend that he was 8 so he could go and be a spy. But the head spy was still saying that he was too young and he said that he was lying about his age and said that he knows that Foxy is only 2.

Mr and Mrs Hunter(Foxys parents) had come back from hunting and were shocked to see that Foxy wasn’t at home. So they went pouncing round the place and just couldn’t find him anywhere. Then Mr Hunter remembered that Foxy wanted to be a spy and went to see the head spy Carl.

Back where Foxy was, something came out of the bush. It was Mr. Bushy. He was so kind and said that he would train him up if he really wants to be a spy. The Head spy ( Carl) wasn't happy but said he could be a spy. So Mr Bushy led Foxy to the secret spy room and started training him up.

Mr and Mrs hunter went panting up to Carl they asked him if they had seen Foxy anywhere and he said half an hour ago Bushy took him up to get trained to be a Spy and you are not allowed up there unless you are a spy or you are training to be one. Mr Hunter quickly said that he would start training if someone would train him up.

So Carl cheekily sent Paul the Fox to take him up to Tour two (Foxys in Tower one). So they went to that Tower. When they got there Mr Hunter could not see Foxy. He yelled and yelled he was so grumpy with Carl and Paul the Fox he was a little bit grumpy with Foxy for running away to be a spy.

One Month later Foxy was finally all trained up and ready to be a spy he had taken a lot longer than Mr hunter did because he was already spying.  Foxys first case he had to was on these penguins that were endangered he had to go swimming without being seen he had to follow them everywhere. After two weeks he had enough information and he gave it to the Head spy Carl.

Animal Olympics

 Hello I decided to write about the animal Olympics. I got this idea of Pobble 365. I hope you enjoy.       
Welcome back to the last round of the javelin throwing. We have six teams left they are Team Giraffe, Team Rhino, Team Flamingo, Team Tiger, Team Lion and Team Tasmanian Devils.

Each team gets one throw and the one that goes the furlist wins. The first Team is The Giraffe team. Look at him running wow he's broken his own record 99.50metres long. Looking in the record books, that's the best throw ever. Next up is the team that was in the lead his best is 99.93 metres long. This is Team Rhino. Look at him running up what a throw but I don’t think he will go back to first… He has got 90.4 metres long.

Team Flamingo's best is 89.9 meters long. Lets see how she goes. She's going so fast oh no she's over run it no throw. She will be gone from the finals. Next up is team Tiger his best is 90 metres he just gets better and better. He runs up  and what a throw this could be a new record( a long pause). Wow that is amazing but not good enough to beat the Giraffes Team Tiger got 97.92 metres. Who told team rhino that he's in third place? He has got steam coming from his nostrils and he is furious.

Team Lion has been so entertaining they have had ups and downs lets see what she can do this time she is pouncing up to the line and her red javelin looks like it has made it to second yes he she has she has got 98.43. This is the last team but definitely not last overall this is the Tasmanian devils lets see if they can get Gold. He's running up really fast and that was a humongus throw but did he step over the line. Let's have a look( two minutes later) we are sorry that it took so long but the Tasmanian devil is very lucky it was a perfect throw he got 3rd place by one centimeter so his score was 98.42 metres.

Welcome to the ceremony everyone In third place it is the Tasmanian devil. In second we have Team Lion and in first place we have Team Giraffe(everyone goes crazy except for Team Rhino) Team Giraffe got a new world record. Thanks for coming to the Animal Olympics.

Diving Giraffes

I used the literacy shed for this story starter I hope you enjoy.

Clip clop clip clop the giraffes are coming to the swimming pool.  Watch out there is a giraffe hanging.  Oh no not the giraffes hanging again. We'll never get them out of the pool. Watch all the giraffes dive into the pool.  The first giraffe jumps up and gets thrown into a ball and down they go to the bottom of the pool.

The first giraffe comes out and heads to the floor switch to make it go down.  Then the second giraffe starts running and makes a humongous leap to the hanging giraffe throws him into a ball and down he goes to the bottom of the pool.

There has to be hundreds of giraffes waiting in line. Looking up at the security cameras and sniffing them.  The third giraffe makes a huge splash after getting thrown up into the air before coming down and looking like he's sitting at the bottom of the pool. Then they come bouncing back to the top and walk out. 

Suddenly a second Giraffe appears hanging lower than the other one. A Giraffe comes bouncing out of a lower diving board to leap up at the lower giraffe and down he goes with all four legs out he makes a splash that reaches the lowest diving board.

The next giraffe in line flings up but high he almost hits the roof but luckily he ducks his head just in time. Then he comes flying down like a bird nosing down to get its prey. He comes trotting out very quickly like he wants to push in line and keep doing it until he gets tired.

They all looked really thirsty so they started drinking litres of water soon there wasn't much water left so they had to fill the water up and have some more fun. They raced each other to the top of the swimming board.

Finally they decided they would go home and let all the people who were trying to go for a swim in. They had so much fun though. I wonder if they will come again tomorrow.

Giants world cup

I have been using pobble 365 again this time I wrote a bout Giants.

We have three teams left in the final who will win this last round of the giants world cup. From Brazil we have the stomping Giant with 1000 points at the moment. From Spain we have Bigfoot who has 990 points at the moment so is sitting in second place. In third place from New Zealand we have Bean who is very tall and has 985 points.

The final round is to see who can run the fastest round the track six times. Stomping giant in lane one Bigfoot in lane two and Bean in lane three. On your marks get set… Bang the starting gun goes off.

Bean sprints to the front and Bigfoot not far behind they come round to the second edge so they are aloud to come into the first lane with bean way ahead now he has almost finished his first lap Stomping giants thundering round not looking happy because he’s behind he make a huge stroll towards Bigfoot because bigfoots way smaller than the others but still very tall he bends under Bean. Bean gets a huge shock and runs over top of him ( well I don’t know if they run) the earth is shaking they are in the fourth lap now the crowds going wild now.

The fifth lap now they are really going fast( for a giant.) They have been racing for ten minutes now and are almost on their last lap. Stomping giant is in the lead but Bean is trying to get back into the front. Bean goes back to his lane and gets into the lead with 10 centimeters left.

Bigfoot tries to take the lead again but Bean wins that gives him the win. He wins by ten points. He's holding the Gold for New Zealand. Bigfoot comes second so that gives him the silver because he gets 20 points so that leaves stomping giant with Bronze. He only gets 3 points.
                                                                                 

The New World

Today I used Pobble 365 to get a story starter. I hope you enjoy.

John, Bob and Flynn are all brothers and they were forbidden to go down the mystery lane. But one morning they got to walk to school then when they were passing past mystery lane they saw people looking like witches one of them that was on a broom stick came flying down to them and hissed at them and tempted them to go down the lane to the big red button and hit it.

John whispered to the others asking them if they should go, the others nodded in agreement and sprinted down the lane before their Mother who was going to the shops in the car could see them running towards it. They hit it.

Bob disappeared first then Flynn then finally John. Because John disappeared first he landed straight in front of an evil looking wizard that was looking into a gold ball. He looked up and said that he was expecting them.

Bob asked where they were Then before they could blink the wizard disappeared and a Witch appeared cackling with laughter. She said in a really high pitched voice You have just entered the Wizard and Witches world.

She gave them all a gold ticket and then they appeared in a new world crowded with witches and Wizards learning spells. They walked into a class when a teacher was showing them a spell and they ended up flying and everyone ended up looking like robots.

They flew out a window and went onto the Wizard field where everything looked so different from earth. A Witch that seemed familiar came flying above and gave them things that looked like sticks(but they are actually wands) somethings that look like buckets(but they are called Cauldrons) and some books that teach you spells. Then she told them that they had to go to witch school because they refuse to go to their school on earth.

She shows them to a classroom and they go to the back of the class and listen really carefully. The teacher was teaching them some spells then she asked John if he could do a spell so he decided to one on Flynn and he suddenly disappeared then John tried the spell on Bob and he disappeared Then suddenly the teacher did it on him and they were back on earth.

They looked up and there was Mother looking foriouse the She shouted at them that they had to go home and they weren’t allowed to go anywhere for a year. The only place they were allowed to go was to the school.

Turkey

Today for reading we had to read a report about the Turkey then we had to write a summary about it. Here is my summary.

Turkeys live in the wild forests of the United States and canada. Turkeys roost at night in low branches. Turkeys sometimes move to farmers' crops to eat food there. Turkeys aren’t very good flyers so that means they have to rely on their speed to get away from hunters.Turkey's enemies are Bobcats,snakes,crows,Opossums,Rats,Dogs and many other creatures. Humans also hunt turkeys. Turkeys eat frogs, insects, wild berries,nuts,Lizards,Snails and lots of other small things.

Giraffes

For writing this week I had to find facts and then turn it into a report. We were aloud to choose our own animal to write about so I chose the Giraffe. Here is my report of Giraffes.

The Giraffes live in the dry savannas of Africa. Did you know that All Giraffes patterns are different. Giraffes have  long tongues that grow as long as 53 centimeters.

An adult Giraffe can grow to around five and a half meters tall. That is taller than three adult humans. The giraffes are the tallest land animal in the world. Giraffes legs are 1.8 metres tall and are taller than some humans. An adult Giraffe's tails can grow up to 2.4 metres long.  A baby giraffe is about 2 metres tall.

Giraffes enemies are Lions and Hyenas. Their long necks help them see some hunters that are trying to hunt them. Sometimes Male(can be called bulls) Giraffes use their necks to fight enemies. They usually use it to protect baby Giraffes.

What do Giraffes eat? Giraffes are Herbivores that means they only eat plants. Their long tongues help them get leaves. Giraffes eat 45 kgs of leaves a day!!

Even though Giraffes eat a lot they don’t need to drink a lot they only need to drink once every few days. If there was a drought, the leaves wouldn't grow that well so they would have to drink a lot of water.

There are thought to be nine living subspecies of Giraffes and one species of giraffe.
The Subspecies names are Kordofan Giraffe,Nubian Giraffe,Rothschild's Giraffe,West African Giraffe,Reticulated Giraffe,Angolan Giraffe,South African Giraffe,Masai Giraffe and the Thornicafts Giraffe. The species name is the North Africa Giraffe.

Giraffes roam around in groups of around 15 there is one male and the rest are females and young giraffes. Their groups are called Towers. In the wild for around 25 years. But when Giraffes are in Zoos or are looked after well by humans they can live up to 40 years old.

Tidy numbers

Today for Math we did Tidy numbers again. I have done my working out on a google drawing. Here is my work.

With Tidy numbers there is two way syou can do this. Option one If I had 98+67 I would plus two to the 98 so it becomes a hundred so that means I have to minus two to the 67 which is know 65. So know the question is 100+65=165.

Option two Plus three onto the 67 so its know 70 so then you have to minus two of the 98 so it's now 96. So know the question is 70+67=137.

Here is a Minus one. 93-88 So I will plus two to the 88 which is know 90. But because this is a minus you have to plus the same number as you did with the 88 so you plus two to the 93 which is now 95. The question is know 90+95=185.

With decimals it is the same.
