Today for writing we had to make report about Mary.

Why did I write about mary?

I wrote  about Mary because it is the month of Mary. I have written some of the special parts of Mary's live. I hope you enjoy.

Annunciation

Mary got  told by an Angel called Gabriel that she was getting a baby and it was going to be the son of God. She was shocked and kept saying that she couldn’t get a baby.

The visitation

Mary then went to tell Elizabeth about the Angel and to tell her that she was pregnant. Then Elizabeth said that she was pregnant as well and Mary told her all about what the Angel said. Elizabeth was amazed.

The birth of Jesus

Mary had to go back to Jerusalem because the King of Nazareth decided that he wanted to count the people of his town and he was born in Jerusalem. They could not find an Inn so they had to go into a barn. While they were in the born Jesus was born.

The presentation of Jesus at the Temple
Simeon said to Mary(Jesus’s mother)“This child is chosen by God for the destruction and the salvation of many in Israel.

Jesus found in the temple

Jesus got lost when they were at a market. Three days later Mary and Joseph found him in the temple listening to 3 jewish teachers. Mary and Joseph were so relieved to find Jesus.

The marriage at Cana

At The Marriage of cana Mary said to Jesus the wine bottles are empty please can you fill them up. So Jesus turned water into wine and there was plenty of wine for the rest of the wedding. That was one of the miracals that jesus made.

Mary at the Cross

Mary was so sad that she could see Jesus dying on the cross. Mary was kneeling at the cross praying that Jesus would not die.

The pentecost story

Jesus sent down the fire of pentecost and all the people spoke different languages. Everyone was so confused that they were speaking different languages. Everyone was also confused because they had fire on there heads.

Fun facts about Mary

Mary, the mother of Jesus is commonly referred to as Mary the  Mother of God, Saint Mary, Virgin Mary and Blessed Virgin Mary.  Mary loved God and wanted to serve Him with all her heart. But she was just a poor girl in an insignificant town, from a humble family, with little expectations that her life going to be any different than most.

  1. Hi Benjamin
Wonderful report on the important events in Mary's life. You have put the events into simple stories that are suitable for your fellow readers. Did you learn anything significant about Mary that you did not previously know from reviewing these events in her life?
