Hello so today for the summer learning journey I made two different Xylophones my first one I made was with glasses and water you put different amounts of water in each glass so they make different sounds so the more water you have in the glass means the higher pitched sound it will make. Here is my first Xylophone.(you use a pencil to tap the glasses.)

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your nanogirl xylophones! You have done such a great job at making all of the glasses and tubes have different pitches to each other - you could make lots of songs with all the different sounds! It was so cool to hear you playing them loud and clear for us to hear.
I think it’s so helpful that you’ve shared your process for making your different xylophones and how they worked. Using a pencil is a great idea, because the impact makes a loud sound doesn’t it? I found it hard to choose a favourite xylophone - I think they are both terrific!
What was the most challenging part about this activity? You have made it look like so much fun, so I think I’ll give it a go myself! Do you have any tips?
Ka pai - keep up the great blogging Benjamin!
