Kia Ora Benjamin,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the summer learning journey.
I really enjoyed this activity as I used to love making boats with my brother and racing them down the creek!
I think your raft looks awesome and it is great to see that it floated. I would like to know how you would change it so that it could carry something while still floating? Also what could you use instead of tape to ensure it does not come apart after being in the water?
Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your posts during the Summer Learning Journey!!
Ngā mihi nui,
Zana Yates
Kia ora Benjamin,
ReplyDeleteIt’s Fiona from the Manaiakalani team. It is great to see you having a go at this boat building challenge.
Thank you for sharing the video of your boat’s maiden voyage. You have done a great job of creating a raft that floats well. I wonder what changes you might make so that your raft could carry something? Perhaps you could try binding the joins with something like string or cotton to solve the problem of soggy tape.
Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing more great mahi from you during the summer learning journey.
Ngā mihi,
Fiona Waugh
