Limericks poetry
Bunny- Benjamin
A bunny can hop
I wonder if it will stop
It has a carrot for lunch
but I haven't got a bunch
I wonder if it will eat a crop
Crocodile- Benjamin
A crocodile is wearing a hat
It just ate a cat
I wonder if it will snap
It might sound like a clap
It sleeps on a mat
Hedgehog- Benjamin
A Hedgehog has a prickle
It came inside for a tickle
It drinks milk
It tastes like silk
It went home in a pickle
Here is a Poem I found in our Poetry book by Joy cowley.
Muddly, Muddly- Joy Cowley
Muddly, muddly,
Feed a lizard.
stuff an earwig
in its gizzard,
Cut its toenails
in a blizzard
Muddly, Muddly,
Feed a lizard
Muddly, Muddly,
Feed a spider.
Drop a dragonfly
inside her
Put her in your
hair, and hide her
Muddly, Muddly
Feed a spider.
Muddly, Muddly,
Feed a goat.
Shove a cabbage
down his throat.
Sit him in a
paper boat.
Muddly, muddly,
Feed a goat.

Hi Benjamin,
ReplyDeleteI love the poems that you have written as well as the Joy Cowley one, lots of rhyming. My favourite poem is called 'I wandered lonely as a cloud' by William Wordsworth. It's about daffodils. My birthday is in April and in England that is spring time there, when all the daffodils are out. You can just picture yourself in the moment as you read it.
I look forward to reading more of your blogs. thanks for sharing.
Mrs Ferguson
HI Benjamin
ReplyDeleteGreat poems today - My favourite that you have written is the hedgehog.
This is my favourite poem - Ethel Earl written by Doug Macleod
A little girl called Ethel Earl would ride the escalator, and there she'd play till, one sad day, the escalator ate 'er
She disappeared, felt rather weird, and tumbled out much later,
all trembling, resembling a crinkle cut potater
