Awesome facts about Turtles and Tortoises

In writing we have been learning to write information reports this is one that I had to do by myself.

Turtles and Tortoises

 Turtles belong to a group of reptiles called Testudines which includes Turtles Tortoises and Terrapins.  Some Turtles can run to about 3 to four miles an hour.Tortoises aren't that fast they are slow like snails  (but not as slow). Did you know that turtles and tortoises do not hear much things.Turtles only seem to respond to however they are mating with they only really respond our talk if they have hatched eggs. Tortoises owners always recognize their tortoises just like dog owners always know were their dog is hiding.


Some tortoises can go without eating for about 30 years!..Finger bites from tortoises can really hurt even know they don’t have teeth. Many tortoises can bite with their strong beaks. Tortoises and turtles hibernate (which means they go to sleep like lots of other animals).

Turtles have lived for two million years long that is  a very very long  time. Tortoises could probably live longer than turtles. Tortoises have humongous shells they are way bigger than turtles.Did you know that if Tortoises or turtles are scared they go into their shells.

 I think that turtles and Tortoises will not become Extinct for a long time. Do you think that Tortoises and Turtles will get Extinct when and how?
